Does this guy like me?

I'm in this club with this boy. Everyday he always starts a conversation with me about the food that I bring.(I bring cantaloupe, cucumbers, mangos, and his favorite, carrots.) I have a feeling he just does this because he loves carrots, but no matter what I'm eating he starts a conversation with me. I don't know what to do. I like him so much, but I have a feeling he just thinks of me as a friend. Is he just thinking friend or more? Or is he easily amazed by food? I just don't want to get hurt, because he's such a sweet kid, and I'm head over heels. Any advice?
