Hello, i am a 15 years old. I am wondering what can i eat to lose weight? I have been running atleast 2miles DAILY. and eat small snacks like Pears / Apples / Mangos. Sometimes eat a burrito on a whole wheat bread. Depending on what my family has in the fridge. Its hard to find healthy things to eat as for my family is on the UN-Healthy side. If you open the fridge u find all sorts of pudding and junk food. and you open the cabinets you find chips and all sorts of food that is super un healthy. Hiya in my opinion most 90% of names wont really make much difference to a childs life or have an effect on them but if a parent gives a child a name that doesnt really fit into the society or a name where a child could be bullied then yes it could cause problems. The names you have listed below seem fine, i know people with some of these names and a know a few people with the same names and they are totally different so i wouldnt say a name effects your personality or attitude. Okay so for about 4 days I have been on a diet but I dont Think its working and I have also been working out for an 1 hour a day, but one thing im usually sore. For breakfeast I usually have oatmeal with fruit like apples, melon, or banannas, and sometimes egg whites with a 25 oz. of water. Lunch: More water and veggies to go with it or nothing. Dinner is fish or chicken with more veggies and sometimes beans. And for dessert its ethier frozen strawberries or a grapefruit and a mango. Throughout the day ( drink about 100 -150 oz. of water. My mother in law is driving me insane!!!!!?

I have lived with MIL for almost 2 years and it wasnt this bad at first. We were supposed to have moved out a year ago but my fiance lost his job and now has to wait till the week after july 4th to start the new one. Every since I had my baby she has been telling me what to do when it comes to raising him. At first I didnt care, but now its overwhelming. We have NOWHERE to go right now so Im just gonna have to tough it out but she literally told my fiance last night that we arent fit to be parents! Her son, my fiance did every drug for a few years then looked in the mirror and saw he had a problem and straightened out. Her daughter has been doing drugs since she was 13 and now she sells them! She thinks we need to lay off a little bit. When he was born, I was so scared he was going to get sick so noone other than MIL was alowed to hold him till he was 3 months old. Only because if we let one person hold him, everyone would want a turn and it wouldnt have been good for him to be passed around by 30 people. Now she wont shut up about the food thing. She presured us into giving him baby oatmeal at 3 months, we waited till he was 4 1/2 months and it turns out he was allergic. We knew it after the first time, but MIL didnt believe me. She almost kicked us out when I told her that we wouldnt be giving him anymore. Now, she keeps trying to sneak him abserd food like whole t-bone steaks so he can knaw on it, (teething but no teeth yet), cheetos puffs (full of preservatives) And she buy these pouch things which normally I wouldnt care, cause they are organic, but she HAS to get the kind with atleast 3 diff kinds of fruit that hes never had before! I keep telling her that I dont know if he would be allergic to certain fruits, my fiance is allergic to kiwi and mango. And if we feed him a pouch thing and he gets a reaction, we wont know what it was that caused it since there were so many types of fruit in one pouch. I told her last week that I do not want him eating cheetos puffs cause its junk and today she went ahead and bought a bag and tried to sneak him one! Are you breastfeeding or bottle feeding her? If she is bottle feeding and on a milk based formula she would have reacted to the formula if she was lactose intollerant. If she was on a lactose-free or soy formula or breastfed and you don't consume lactose containing products, then this very well might have been a reaction. I would try a soy yogurt (But check them because some of them contain milk as well) or just skip the dairy products for now.

Why am I not losing weight?

Cut calories to 1200 or 1300 a day if you dont do any exercise and you will lose, also try eating a ton of fiber. I ate that fiber1 cereal and stuff all the time and took well over 100% of the recommend fiber value in (which is fine if you drink lots of water) Cut out the pasta and rice/sushi for a bit, the corn chips, and the viggie burgers and hotdogs (just me instinct telling me you should) . Stick to chicken breast and fish. Subways fine, I used to eat the turkey sub, no cheese but everything on it (vegies, olives, peppers, tomatoes, all of it!) on whole wheat with a little beat of fat free sweet onion sauce. It was delish and only like 350 calories (good calories) get it on whole wheat of course! As weird as this might sounds, I never drank milk the whole time. I took calcium pills. Instead of spending 100 calories by adding milk I would add 100 more calories and eat my cereal dry, or mix it into oatmeal( which is awesome) This will allow you to feel more full. None of this advice is professional but it worked for me. In my opinion information coming from someone who was in the same position is more knowledgable than a professional who hasnt struggled and adapted to weight loss.

Dorm: Storage, Chairs, Mattress Pad, etc?

Try your best to make use of what's there and offered before trying to change things. College is expensive so that $50 dollars for the mattress topper thing would be better spent going to your meal plan. You can't buy a new mattress or desk chair because you'd have to store the old one that's already there and you wouldn't have a place to store it. Dorm mattresses/chairs/desks aren't the best but it's the dorms so everyone makes do. They serve their purpose. The room will have a closest and space in the closet but I would suggest stack able storage containers to save space. Not all dorms have the raised bed, that's only a certain style of dorm bed. There's no need for the shoe hanger, it just takes up space and you won't wear most of those shoes anyways.

How should I discipline my 5 year old brother?

My 5 year old half brother is just plain and simply bad. He swears, hits, is disrespectful, listens to no one, and says violent sentences such as, "I will cut your head off." His mother, I think, doesn't know how to deal with him, so she just simply doesn't. The only other person that disciplines him is my brother, who doesn't do much good either. I haven't tried disciplining him yet, since I haven't really been to my half sibling's house much. He hasn't gone to pre-school, so I am worried how he will act in Kindegarden. 3 week old kitten without mom.. ?

I took in a 3 week old kitten from my friends neighbor who didn't know how to care for them (her other siblings died because of it :() there mom was hit by a car so I am bottle feeding her and caring for her until she is old enough to live out on there farm. She is getting sheeps milk every 4 to 5 hours and a little bit of wellness canned food every other feeding. Dream of creepy gross guy trying to kill me and siblings?

I lived in a small hamlet called red earth creek. it is a rig town surrounded by a bunch of reservations. the whole 5 years that i was there, i had a recurring dream that there was a tall, lanky, dirty man with long blonde hair and he was trying to kill me. i was always doing really impossible feats, such as pulling myself into my room from 20 feet, etc. then after a couple years, my sisters and brother were involved too and i was always trying to keep them safe. in the last 2 years of living there, my parents bought horses and we had a wooden fence in the yard. it was always snowy outside with the dim, kind of weird winter night light outside. we were always safe in the fence or in the shadow of my dads company truck. it was like he couldn't see us but was always stalking right on the edge of the fence or shadow waiting for us to make a move. it was endless and when we started to get tired from running and climbing and jumping from the ground to the trailer and back, he would get one of my sisters or brother and i would try to stop him but before i could do anything about him being there, i woke up. i was between 12 and17 when i lived there and my siblings are from 1 to 8 years younger then me (3 sisters and a brother). my parents never woke up while we were being chased. it was kind of disturbing for me as a teenager to have a continuing dream this horrific. and since i have moved from red earth i haven't had it since. i was wondering if there was any meaning to be found in a dream of this context and if anybody could tell me what it means?

I have only been a vegetarian for a little over 24 hours. But I am taking this seriously. Im a vegetarian for my health and I feel bad for animals. Is it normal for a parent to tell one child to not end up like their older sibling? Are you breastfeeding or bottle feeding her? If she is bottle feeding and on a milk based formula she would have reacted to the formula if she was lactose intollerant. If she was on a lactose-free or soy formula or breastfed and you don't consume lactose containing products, then this very well might have been a reaction. I would try a soy yogurt (But check them because some of them contain milk as well) or just skip the dairy products for now.

Before I start I'd like to say that the younger generations are growing up too fast (You'll figure out why I'm saying that in a minute.) So, I have one younger brother. He's 10 years old and he's getting a phone on thurs., he has a laptop, and he pretty much gets whatever he wants. He's bellyaching to my dad right now to get him a pool and bellyaching to my mom to get him a mini bike or a dirt bike. He thinks he's so cool and he treats me like **** all the time. When I go to the mall shopping, if I'm with my mom, she get something for him, and if I'm on my own my mom tells me to pick something out for him because if I don't, he has a big fit and says that he never gets anything and that they like me better. Like today, I went to target and got myself a headset and some stuff to make smores with. When we got home, my brother came into my room and said, " You have a headset?" and I was like "Yeah?". He asked me why I didn't get him one. (This happened about 20 minutes ago) I told him that he can get one when he gets his laptop fixed (he crashed his computer when he downloaded some stuff of the internet and I'm pretty sure he got hacked.) He's probably complaining to my mom right now, and I'll be the one that has to go get him one because I told my mom that she should wait until his laptop gets fixed, because it's no use having it when he can't use it, right? Two weeks after summer started my friends and their parents stated noticing I'm getting taller and skinnier.I still weight the same but I only grew a inch. I usually eat healthy food like seafood, vegetables and fruit.I rarely eat red meat and when I do it is usually like once every two months. I eat fast food only once or twice a week. Now for the past week I starting to notice I'm eating less. The only time I'm eat a lot is during lunch. During breakfast I started to only eat something like toast bread with peanut butter and jelly instead of a omelet and in Dinner I eat really little because I'm not hungry. I sleep like 2 or 3 in the morning until 9 or 10 a.m. I ask my father about it but he doesn't really know why. I can't ask my mother since she is in a different state right now. I'm not depress or anything. I am usually home alone since I have no siblings nor relatives. I practice dancing or Karate every night for 1 hour and do solitude things everyday like painting or cleaning. I hang out with my friends like once a week since I don't like to be bother that much and like to be alone. Is my body out of whack or something? Or is it because of my sleep.

What is wrong with me, I have no compassion for other people anymore?

I used to be so caring toward other people, I used to be so compassionate, but now it's like I just don't care about anyone but myself. Something is seriously wrong with me. o.k please don't judge me, but for example, if I see someone on the news or something that has a disability most normal people would feel sorry for him/her but me, I just don't care, i'm just glad it's not me, whereas if this was a few years ago I would be so sad for him/her. Another example, if someones sibling or family member dies, I don't care, I just honestly feel no sympathy for them, nothing, and again, if this was a few years ago, I would be really sorry for that person, and probably cry. I used to cry for people all the time, I cared more for others than I cared about myself. I don't know whats happened to me. I did get picked on a lot when I was 10-13, pretty badly, do you think that could have something to do with it? I noticed this change in my attitude when I was about 13, i'm almost 19 now btw.

In that case I talk to my friend's friend, who I haven't even met before, but who keeps in touch through the computer and phone. If that's the case, and you feel better venting to someone who you don't even know just because you feel less judged that way, talk to someone who's more distant from you -- you can even talk to me if that makes it easier for you. But I feel like the best way to get rid of the problem is to just give yourself a moment to let it all out. And always know, whether you're atheist or not, that your father would be proud to know that he meant so much in your life, and that him passing away from cancer only helped him get rid of the pains he would've suffered through if he were here today. I'm sorry if this answer is pointless to you, but I hope to get across that there's always someone who won't judge you from your tears, and you need to know that :)

80 yr Old Dad in End Stage CHF Lasix slowly working?

Our Dad was admitted to the hospital for the second time in a week yesterday. He had over 32 lbs of water weight. They upped him from 1/2 lasix water pill to 4 last week and sent him home. He ended up in ER yesterday with same 30 lbs water being retained. I spoke with his doctor and they are going to remove as much water as they can and send him home in a day or two. I am his health POA and I asked the Dr where do we go from here? He said day by day, he is going to send him home on oxygen and have some home health aides come in a few times per week. I asked the nurse if she though he could continue living alone until this fall and she told me I'd be fortunate to still have him than? I am scared has anyone gone thru this? My Dad is stubborn and wants to die in his home, I want to move him home as my siblings and I live three hours away? How long do we have
