Ghost whisperer dead family?

Ok so they're is a dead family at the end of season 1 episode1 Melinda is at the cemetery and the dad gets up and asks her you can see us? And it ends. than in another episode season1 episode 20 "the vanishing" Where Melinda falls and hits her head and believes she can't see ghost anymore but their disappearing by themselves you see the family real quick like 3 seconds! What happened to them I really would like to know?
